Strawberry kisses

Well the wonderful Crafters Companion have done it again...they have come up with another wonderful range of must have stamps and a CD from the very talented Sally Hunter..the creator of Humphrey the little elephant. This new range includes 2 cute little characters , a dog that looks so like our late beloved little Sprocket and a cute little Kitten who also resembles one of our cats Kes !!!

The wonderful design Team at Crafters Companion came up with some stunning designs and that gave me some inspirations to make some of the cards myself. I have even entered one into Joanne Sheen's Blog challenge!

I spent one evening stamping the images and then another colouring the images in using a mixture of Spectrum Noir pens and pro markers. Then the fun begins and  there was so much to choose from on the CD with some wonderful papers and ribbons The range has a design suitable for any occasion and if you see something you like you can get in touch and I can commission a card for you..enjoy...

Jewellery day 2012

The wonderful Beaders Companion have launched a January Blog challenge to create a spring themed item of Jewellery using beads from the Beaders companion range.
Sadly all my inspiration has vanished and I was sat there with all my beads surrounding me and could not come up with anything I was happy with:(
My wonderful hubby then pointed out that I had made a lovely spring like necklace at the end of last year for a wedding so I thought that I would enter that.
Spring themed necklace
I made it using the stunning glass beads that were available from the website, in a very pale pink colour with a tiny speck of light green. To this I added clear glass beads and some crystals. I created a pendant using a head pin and eye pin and 2 of the glass drop beads. Sadly this photo does not show the true colours of the lovely delicate beads but I hope you like it xxx

2012

Well my New Year resolution was to keep my blog up to date and to try to make a card every day but sadly due to my deteriorating health this has not been possible and is most frustrating as you all know how much I love my card making.

Well after finally receiving a date to go into hospital yesterday, I finally plucked up the courage to make a card but where to start??

Crafters companion blog challenge for this month is "Love is in the air" so being the big romantic that I am I thought I would have a go. I have also entered it in the Crafters Companion Valentines day challenge so wish me luck!! I have also entered this card in the Joanna Sheen Challenge where they have a fab design team with such inspirational ideas..and every little bit helps!

The card that I have entered is made using the lovely Humphrey die cut decoupage and papers from the Humphrey CD. The card is the stunning co ordinations range and I made the paper flowers out of this card and finished off with a couple of feathers which had to be retrieved from the cat who thought it would be fun to play with them !!

I hope you like it.  Cathy xx
