Almost there

Well tomorrow is the day of the long awaited launch of Brambly Hedge..the double CD and stamp collection from Crafters Companion.

Here are just a few card that I made using the bunch of flowers stamp and the basket of fruit..all  of which could be coordinated with any of the images on the CDs but I wanted to show the images in there natural form..lol

I used the Elegant Frame Embossing folder with some centura pearl card with some coordinations card to make orange stand out. Added a little bow and a few pearl embellishments.

Again I used centura pearl embossed in one of the Darice folders from Crafters Companion but cant remember its name..dohhh and again added a bow and a few pearls and there you have it.

This next one was stamped using the basket of fruit and in the summer strawberries are traditional so thats what i went for. I used the round scalloped die from spellbinders to cut out some coordinating paper and some coordinations card for matting and layering. A ribbon and a few flowers and there you have a summer fruit basket;

This next one I again coloured in as if they were strawberries in the . I used some coordinations card stock and a spellbinders Lacey squares die to mat and layer. A sentiment and a few gems to finish;

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing a few of my projects made for this launch and make sure you tune in to Create and Craft.tv from Friday at noon onwards xxx

Only another day to wait

Well not long to wait until the launch of Brambly hedge from Crafters Companion.

As well as a double CD there is a wonderful range of stamps to coordinate with the CDs. The stamped images are just so gorgeous but as I am not the greatsest at colouring in I was a bit nerveous but I got my Spectrum Noir pens at the ready and had a little play.

So here is sleepy mouse in 2 different colour ways;

The backing papers are from the CD and I embossed the blue paper in the A4 Dottie embossing folder to add more texture
A sentiment from the stamp set cut out using the Diesire Scalloped Tags.

The next card is using the same stamp but coloured in using different colours. Again the backing papers are from the CD and the gem embellishments from the pack of embellishments especially put together for Brambly Hedge.

The sentiment again is from the stamp sets and cut using the same die as before. x

Brambly Hedge

Tonights sneaky peek is at one of my favourite cards that I have made from the stunning cds.
It is a large card made using A3 centura pearl and scoring at Trifold lines on the Ultimate from Crafters Companion.

The topper is from the Spring/Summer traditional toppers section. This was matted and layered onto Coordinations card. I took inspiration for the design from the topper where the 4 poster bed has great swags of fabric so I wanted to carry this through with my design so using a scalloped punch I created the borders along the edges of the card.

I added some paper flowers and a fanciful flourish as leaves. I also used one of the metal corners from the embellishment packs. On the top flower I used one of the coordinating epiphany images from the CD using the Oval 25 tool.

Inside I lined the card with coordinating paper and a DL insert from the coordinating design set.

You can see the scalloped border better here. I inset some of the pearls from the embellishment pack and also another metal corner so it makes you feel as if you are opening a book.

Another peek at Brambly hedge

Not long to wait now until the launch of Brambly Hedge. The double CD that is packed with stunning images. Yet again Crafters Companion have excelled themselves with another stunning product.

It contains all the things you would expect to find from a Crafters Companion CD but with a few extras like the fabric companions for printing onto transfer paper to create stunning tea shirts etc. There is also traditional toppers and topper companions which are new to their CDs

As well as the CDs there are rubber stamps to coordinate with the CDs and embellishment packs.

My sneaky peek today is from one of the card companion sets which I made into a larger card using some white card stock and coordinations card. I matted and layered co-ordinating papers from the cd and used all of the elements from the companions page.

To finish I used some of the lovely plastic flowers from the embellishment pack.

Brambly Hedge sneaky peek

Crafters Companion are launching yet another fantastic pick of the week on Create and Craft on Friday.

This double CD is packed with stunning images and artwork covering all the seasons, winter/autumn and Spring/summer. You will never be lost for ideas once you see the samples from all the Design Team members.

Today I am sharing an exploding box for you. The CD does have a section of exploding boxes but i wanted to make something bigger.

I used Centura pearl card as a base and on the top I made a flower using the Diesire large Sunflower and small sunflower. On the outside of the box I added sections of centura pearl that I had embossed in A4 Dottie embossing folder to add some strength to the box.

I used some thick Ribbon around the lid and created a false bow. To finish I added one of the Epiphany images from the CD using Square 25 and bubble cap.

Inside the box I created another smaller layer to the exploding box again using Centura pearl card.

All layers were then covered in coordinating backing papers and images from the cds traditional toppers section were added.

I created yet another smaller box that fitted in the middle. I made lots of small cards to go inside with left over images that I had after printing out the various sheets.
The perfect gift for someone xxx

Brambly hedge number 3 Something totally different

Here is something totally different today from the new Cds.

Crafters Companion have added a section in the CD called fabric companions perfect for printing on iron on transfer paper.

You may have seen some of the other design team members samples where tea shirts and wash bags etc have used fabric transfer paper.

I printed out 2 of the images from the Autumn/Winter CD and then embarked on making a tea cosy and must admit are rather pleased with the results.

You just pop the transfer paper into the printer and there you have it. Follow the instructions carefully and you will be delighted with the results. I did iron these designs onto some cream fabric 1st and then stitched to the tea cosy. I added some lace around the edges and some cream buttons to cover the corners;

This collection is stunning and iam sure is going to become a favourite for many. xx

I used some of the coordinating papers and some coordinations for matting and layering.

The sentiment is from the stamp set and cut out using the Diesire Scalloped Tags.

I added some ribbon and bow from my stash and  a few paper flowers and leaves.

The final finishing tough was a image from the epiphany section on the cd cut out using the Star 25 Epiphany tool and bubble cap.

Brambly Hedge has arrived

Crafters Companion are launching 2 stunning new Cd s as Pick Of The Week on Create and Craft on Friday the 14th of June.

The 2 CDs each have their own theme, 1 Autumn and Winter and the other Spring and Summer.
They are packed with all the stunning features that you would expect to find on a Crafters Companion CD but there are lots of extras on these new CDs like fabric companions, traditional toppers and topper companions.

There is also some stunning stamp sets to accompany the cds and even an embellishment kit including lace, ribbon,pearls and even metal corners!!

My 1st sample started off just as a card but suddenly grew into a much larger project.

I printed out some of the topper companions from the autumn/winter cd. I used canvas effect paper to add some texture. I would have liked to have used watercolour card but for some reason my printer decided it didn't like it!

I then mounted this image onto some coordinations and added some paper flowers from my stash..i then thought i could make it into a little book so i took some of the construction acetate from crafters companion as it is so strong it would give strength to the book. I used some of the metal corners from the embellishment pack.

On the back of each page i covered them with coordinating papers from the cd and made some little pockets. On page 1 i added a little notebook.

Page 2 had some labels

Page 3 some party invitations made using the notepaper from the design sets.

Page 4 had some coordinating envelopes also from the design set.
On each of the flowers i used some of the epiphany images from the cd and used the Oval epiphany tool and bubble caps.

Then to put the whole thing together I used some book rings and using a hole punch made 3 holes in each page, added acetate between each paper page and joined them all together. To finish i added some ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon with some more brambly hedge sneaky peeks xx
