Christmas is coming....

Here is my 1st sneaky peek at the stunning new kit from
Crafters Companion along with some help from Hunkydory.

All I can say is that this kit is a stunner and a must have for all those christmas cards. I just wish I had more time to play with it!!

Here is an 8X8 card which I sliced the front section in half at an angle. I then added one of the stunning foiled card sheets. I added a topper and a snowflake from the Diesire die range.

Inside the card I lined it with some more of the stunning foiled card and created a little pocket to hold some gift tags. I used the Diesire decorative frame die to cut out a sentiment from 1 of the inserts which I added to the left hand side of the card.

Keep an eye open for show times with the lovely Dawn Wheeler and I am sure this one is going to be flying out of the doors. xxxx

Loving Barkley

So what do we think of the shows so far...Isn't Barkley a stunner???

I am sharing a card made using elements from the Christmas CD.

The topper is one of the stamped images which was stamped onto Neenah card and coloured in using spectrum noir pens.

I created an easel card out of centura pearl card and covered it with some of the backing papers and coordinating papers from the CD.

I finished with a sentiment from the stamp set and a bow which I added a image from the epiphany section from the cd using the epiphany round 14.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the shows a s I dont think he is going to be around much longer on Create and Craft.

one more sleep and then Barkley arrives..

Well its not long now until the launch of this stunning new set of stamps and 2 cds from Crafters Companion at 12 noon on create and craft.tv

My card today is another one from the christmas cd and uses one of the stamped images coloured in with Spectrum Noirs. Again I am no the best at colouring but I was rather pleased with the results of this image.

Once coloured in I cut it out using Diesire magic mirror die and then mounted onto a 8x8 card base that I had covered with backing papers from the christmas cd.

The sentiment was from the stamp set and I used a Diesire scalloped tags to cut it out. A few snowflakes from silver mirror card and a few gems and you have one finished card with a coordinating insert.

I hope you have enjoyed these sneaky peeks and dont forget to tune in on friday for the launch of the pick of the week.

Not long to wait now

Here is another sneaky peek at the stunning Double Barkley CD which will be pick of the week on Friday on Create and Craft.

For this project I have used the christmas cd and one of the card companions that Crafters Companion are getting known for.

The images are stunning as are all the backing papers and some could be used all year round.

I made the card companion into a bigger card but used most of the elements from the printed page as well as some of the backing papers. To finish i added a die cut gold snowflake and some ribbon with a Epiphany oval 25 and one of the epiphany images from the CD.

Thanks for stopping by and keep a look out for more sneaky peeks xxx

Barkley number 3

Not much longer to wait until Crafters Companion launch the stunning new double CD and stamp set called Barkley. You just have to love him and his friends.

Todays card is made using 1 of the stamped images. Now I am not the greatest when it come s to colouring but I took my Spectrum Noirs and had a go and must admit I am pleased with the results.

I took the image and cut it out with a spellbinders die and then created an easel card. The backing papers and coordinating papers are from the CD and are all stunning. The sentiment is also from the stamp set and cut out using diesire decorative tags from Crafters Companion.

To finish I used some paper flowers and 2 of the metal corners from the Brambly Hedge embellishment set.

A little bit more of Barkley

Here is another sneaky peek at the stunning Barkley double  CD which is going to be pick of the week on friday on Create and Craft.

This project just started out as a card but as these things do ideas popped into my head that it would make a great Gardeners gift set. So it grew bigger and bigger and ended up with several pages containing gardeners goodies;

It was the topper that inspired me..such a cutee sitting in a wheelbarrow.

Page 1 with a topper and a insert used for a contents page. I also used the Scalloped Circle epiphany tool with one of the images from the epiphany section of the CD.

Page 2 with a little pocket for a notebook and pencil covered in one of the backing papers. Finished with an embellishment from the CD

Page 3 again with a little pocket but this time containing seeds. A topper from the CD on the front

Page 4 with some gardeners twine on a wooden reel and some plant markers in a little pocket. I also used a Oval epiphany tool again with one of the images from the epiphany section.

Page 5 and the back page. I created a box and used some plain acetate which I embossed in a A4 tumbling leaves embossing folder. Its difficult to make out on the photo but the effect was great. Inside the box is a pair of gardeners gloves.

The whole thing was held together with some paw print ribbon from my stash. A perfect gift for any gardener.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to watch Create and Craft on Friday at 12.00 for this stunning new pick of the week.

Beaders and Crafters Combine

I 1st took 2 sets of bracelet Bezels and a set of earring blanks. I removed 3 of the squares from the bracelet to create a 2 square pendant. I added my choice of Pebeo paints.....I used English Red and Mandarine in alternate bezels and then added a few drops of Fantasy Moon Sand which is a gold colour into each square. Make sure that you mix the paints well. You then sit back and watch the magic happen but be warned it takes a very long time to dry so leave over night to be on the safe side.

Stage 2 is to mix up the Resin. I used about 10mls in total for all of the squares  so a little goes a long way. I carefully poured it over the dry paint making sure I did not over fill the bezels, and again sat back and watched the magic happen... you have to be very very patient and leave overnight to dry otherwise you will get sticky fingers and spoil your project..I have learnt this the hard way. If you see any little bubbles forming on the top of the resin just use a lighter and hold close to the resin and the flame will make them disappear in an instant.

Once fully dry I attached a silver chain to the 2 links using a jump ring to create the necklace. I gently sanded the bottom of the square where I had removed the other 3 squares which made up the original bracelet.

So there you have it a full set of jewellery which is totally unique as no 2 pieces will be the same. All it needed was a little gift bag to put it in.

I printed of one of the toppers from the Brambly Hedge CD and one of the coordinating backing papers and put them onto a brown paper bag base. I used some coordinations card for matting and layering and added a few paper flowers and leaves to finish.

The complete set that would make a perfect gift but I dont think I could bring myself to give this one away...........

A Little bit of Barkley

Well the team at Crafters Companion have done yet again..just when you thought they could not bring out any more cute characters  along comes the wonderful Barkley..the cutest dog ever!!!!!

This new range  which is a double CD and stamp sets covers both everyday and Christmas and covers every occasion possible.

They will be launched this Friday as pick of the week on Create and Craft.tv.

My 1st sneaky peek is made using one of the fabric companions on the CD. I printed this out onto the transfer paper from Crafters Companion and then following the clear instructions on the pack ironed it onto a cotton bag. I have used transfer papers in the past and had some very poor results but this works perfectly every time.

To finish I added some cream lace and 4 buttons at the corner. This was so easy to make and would make a perfect gift.

The finished bag.

Watch this space for more sneaky peeks xxxxx
